  1. Open your terminal.
  2. Enter the command sudo nano /etc/hosts
  3. Enter the administrator password when prompted.

Note: It's normal for the password not to display as you type

  1. Edit the hosts file and remove any lines containing Mojang. Navigate using the arrow keys
  2. Save the changes with CTRL + O, then exit with CTRL + X
